Soldier of Fortune 2 Date

Computer and Video Games is reporting that Raven's Soldier of Fortune 2 is on track for a mid to late February 2002 release in the US, according to an Activision spokesperson. Until now, the release date was just "Winter 2002". Saw that on Blues.

It certainly seems odd that two eagerly-awaited first-person shooters will be released more or less together. Read between the lines. Got it? Ok."

I'm really not sure what they are getting at with that read between the lines bit. Anyone have a guess?

Geez, with those 12-15 months development times, i wonder how good the games will be or how long. If they can pull it off, more power to them. But i hope that Raven knows what people expect of Jk2.

  Uh SOF was released back in '99. That means SOF2 has at least a 28 month development cycle, not 12. : nomaad

Mid to late February! That must mean the game is essentially completed, and the next three months will be used to test the code and get every last bug out! HOORAJ!
