I bet EA isn't publishing this one... Alice tanked, and EA was NOT happy.

People may talk about how cool Alice was, but most everyone just played the demo, and nobody bought the game.

McGee previously turned Alice in Wonderland into a succesful video game.

Sucessful? Maybe as in getting decent reviews, but I don't think it exactly lit up the sales charts.

Did it ever even hit the top ten, because I certainly don't remember it doing so.

Wizard of Oz...how lame.. Alice was a great idea because the original intentions of the story were finally realized within the main stream. A dark Wizard of Oz game is just shameless marketting BS. Using a famous story as a crutch for his game...neat...

Picking familiar stories for the basis of the games is a very good marketing point. Almost everyone knows the story Wizard of Oz and Alice; more people might pick up the game and give it a chance because the title of the game is more familiar to them than the other titles of games that are out there.
