Hmm. How is the single player game? From what I've been gathering the bulk of the buginess has been in the multiplayer component, and to be frank, I've never really played Myth/Myth2 multiplayer, and I didnt buy Myth3 for the multiplayer. But if the singplayer game is pooped I'll be pissed.

(I have Myth3 at home but my home machine went KERPOW!)

The single player game is good through at least half of it, which is as far as I've had time to play. I've seen a couple of people complain about wanting more units to control in the final maps, although there's at least an outside chance (since they skipped over those maps and didn't play them) that they missed getting "reinforcements" partway through the map, which seems to be a fairly common occurrence in the maps so far. Anyway I haven't heard any major complaints about either gameplay or bugs in the singleplayer game. If you like Myth-style singleplayer it could be a good buy if you find a bargain price.

In any case though it wouldn't hurt to wait a week or two to see what the final resolution of this crap with Take 2 and MumboJumbo is.

This demo hosed up my system pretty damn bad. I have a p3/voodoo5/winxp system and this thing screwed up my perfectly working video drivers and corrupted several installs. Fuckers.

4, Karl: You need the Windows compatibility update or the game *will not* install...

and 8: The problem here lies with the publishers, not the developers. I have talked to some of the developers and they are very upset with the current state of the game. Unfortunately, the publishers won't give them the time or money to make it right.

well... the demo felt very immature; i can't say i'm surprised to see a buglist this large. this is the opposite of the "when it's done" mentality. now the paying customers are, essentially, beta-testers. that's just wrong on so many levels.

now if i could just convince myth 2 to run on win2k... (it insists that on winnt 4.0, which is what it assumes win2k is, that i must have service pack 3 or higher. this was true in nt because of the directx stuff that came in that sp, but of course win2k has even more up-to-date direct x, so there's no need. but myth 2 won't install.)

i'm cold and frightened. Would Myth 3 be worth buying whenever they get patches out for it? I hope so becasue the first two games were great. Bungie should have never sold out. :/

Mumbo Jumbo should either change their name or cease to exist. From now on, having that name associated with any future games they make just puts it on the ignore list. There is no excuse for all of those bugs. I can't stand incompetent developers/management.

I tried running this game under WinXP the menu runs SUPER ASS SLOW (like the mouse jerks around the sccreen every 3 seconds) when i up the reslolution and its still bad when I have it at 640x480 (this is just the menu not even in game) When I go to load a map it finishes loading and brings me back to my desktop
