Renegade Q&A Part 2
by Maarten Goldstein, Oct 31, 2001 6:45am PSTActionvault has part 2 of their C&C Renegade interview up, asking Dan Cermak about making an action FPS from the RTS Command & Conquer. They ask about new things that had to be learned to create an FPS, how do you make a shooter out of a game world based on strategy, how the story was approached differently, mission types and a few other things. Thanks Voodoo Extreme.
Action Vault: Have you approached the design of the story and characters in a different manner for Renegade than you would an RTS game? What's involved in meshing good storytelling with fast-paced action? Dan Cermak: We coupled the essence of the C&C universe with the hero character, Havoc. We've tried to strike a good balance between allowing the player to impact the game's events, but still make him feel as though he is only one person in the middle of an enormous war.

(and why does this story claim to have 4 comments when I see none above? First post protection?)
