Congrats to your step-father, Steve! That is a helluva big fish to reel in!!

I've always been a big fan of Lockheed because of the SR-71 and the F-104 Starfighter. Based on what I'd read and heard about their entry for the JSF, they deserved to win.

Personally, I prefered Boeing's plane...but lockheed's was a lot more orthodox and had a lot of the F22 in it...so they pretty much knew it would work; which pretty much made it the obvious choice.

Actually there are 3 version's. One for the Air Force, One for the Navy and Vstol fersion for the Marines, It is a sweet looking aircraft. Congrat's to your Step-Father for a fine looking fighter :)

The planes are awesome but our current enemy (The Taliban) doesn't even have an airforce anymore. I'm sure Iraq's airforce can't touch our current airforce either. I guess the one we need to worry about is China.
