Operation Flashpoint Gold Edition

Operation Flashpoint Gold will have the latest version of Operation Flashpoint, with all the additional vehicles, weapons and missions that have been released, and will also contain the Red Hammer addon. The pack also comes with a 64 page strategy guide. For those who already have Operation Flashpoint there will be a "Gold Update" which should sell for about £9.99. There are 3 screenshots here. In related news, Codemasters' Jonathan Smith has been interviewed on HomeLAN Fed, answering questions about the upcoming Operation Flashpoint expansion Red Hammer. There are questions about the new storyline, new features, retail and download availability, plans for free expansions, mod support and more.

Your copy/paste was not perfect. The downloadable expansion for current owners of OpFlash was slated as 9.99 British Pounds (My keyboard doesn't have that L thingy). So that's $15 USD?

i'm stuck on that fucking specop mission where you sneak in alone to blow up 3 tanks. argh!
This whole "Gold Edition" thing is just the latest marketting ploy of charging twice for the same product IMHO. Like with the "Directors Cut" in video / DVD (used to be a good idea when the Directors cut surfaced 10 years after the movie was released - not so great when it comes out a few months after the original).
I'm not questioning the content or quality of the game (I haven't even seen the contents of this release) but in my view, a Gold edition should something that comes out a couple of years after the product and includes previously released addon packs, "best of" user mods, etc.
Or are we going to get that in the form of a "Diamond Edition"?
