X-Box Woes?

320

Been having a few employees of stores send in reports of having some pretty strange difficulties with the X-Box demo units that are being sent around by Microsoft. There were also complaints of extreme load times and misc quirkiness. Well it's been 6 different people from 6 different places around the US now reporting that they have had first hand experience with X-Box machines crashing and not being able to recover. There is a story here with similar reports that was sent in a few times today. Is X-Box really that unstable? Was it just a goofup in the demo production run that wont be a problem in the retail release? There have been reports that the demo units are the final production models, although I havent seen anything that could really confirm that as accurate. Seems lke a strong possibility though given how close we are to shipping date. Given all this fruityness, there seems to be certainly enough warning out there to not just jump in and buy one. DOA3 and Shrek both look pretty darn cool. I'm gonna wait and see a couple of weeks after launch, if it keeps crashing then, PS2 or GameCube still look good.
