3Transmeta has unveiled their new low power consumption CPU at the Microprocessor Forum today. The new chip is about one third the size of their current model and will be running at 800mhz this quarter.

800mhz palmtops? That's where transmeta is heading...trying to do things better than anyone else.. They've done a fairly good job up until IBM's recent announcement. The problem has been a lack of widespread support from companies like Dell... I really hope this company can turn things around.. They have a lot of great minds over there.
We seriously need instantaneous-recharge batteries that plugs into my shoe or something.
