My upstairs neighbors have been stealing my laundry soap
because they are too lazy to go by their own...and they do
laundry 4 times a week. I asked them to stop using mine
because I have allergies and the stuff I buy is expensive...
Anyhow...once again Thursday they EMPTIED my laundry soap and hid the
container...so I bought more...and some red dye. I hid my new bottle
and set them up the bomb with another bottle with the dye in it.

me and my friend drove out to the west Utah desert tonight into nomans land..... no civilization around for at least 30 miles.
anyway
we're laying in the road, looking at the stars, chatting, and we start talking about God and all that stuff.
personally, I believe in a God... whoever or whatever he is.
personally, I believe in creation also, but I think evolution and creation go hand-in-hand (too much to explain, so just nod and keep reading)
anyway, we came up with a few theories.
1] What if God created a few earths before us?
Mars is basically alot like Earth, in a latter stage of 'evolution' if you will, scientists think there was probably water on there at one point. what if God created it and they fucked up and had some sort of nuclear holocaust or something and Mars is now what it is, what if we're "Try #x" ? (x being however many he's had...
2] What if there are other Earths out there RIGHT NOW?
Scientists say there are more stars, galaxies, etc, combined, than all the grains of sand on all the beaches of the world. What if there are other human "earths" out there?
What if one day, we break the light barrier and can travel at the speed of light (hey they said breaking the sound barrier was impossible), and we travel to another galaxy and find another earth with humans on it? what if a long time into the future we find a few more earths... and we become kind of a community of planets in our galaxy?
what if then we eventually find other galaxies with the same thing? other human colonies of galaxies...
3] What if WE are the earth's immune system?
What if the earth evolved US to become its immune system? I mean, if we saw an asteroid that had a probable 99.99999% chance of hitting the earth and decimating us, 50 years from now, we could destroy that. What if that is our purpose of evolution somehow?.... if that were the case, where will we be in say, another 800,000 years or so? ... Right now, we think, yeah, I'm a person, I'm an individual, when in all reality, you're part of the greater cause... being the earth (or even the Solar System's) immune system?

So I'm now a month into college, meet this girl in the 2nd week, we seem to hit it off. I go out to a few parties with her, like the first night we stay up till 5 AM talking and making out. Over the next weekend or two we begin to have a really physical relationship (at least for what i'm used to), we break it off in about a week and talk for the next week, and we're back "together" for the next weekend. But I digress.
The biggest problem is that she seems to be absolutely crazy about this other guy who is in another location, even tho they never dated she felt like she had met her "soul mate". To compound this, she still talks with her ex-boyfriend, whom she is still breaking it off with (essentially for his benefit). So I'm the guy that's near her, and we seem to hit it off, but it feels like we dont have any real relationship possibilities, at least for the time being. (today she mentioned that she wanted us to be dating, not boyfriend and girlfriend i didn't even know there was a distiction but uh whatever)

And if your wondering why so many god damned people are on the english RO server now, its because the korean server has been shut down, as gravity is preparing it for beta. the korean players all shoved their way over to the english server, and lag is to be had by all.
back on to the skills, DAMN! i can't wait for beta! :D looks like the classes will have meaningful skills (like merchants getting push carts, so they can carry an extra 500 weight), and acolytes being able to teleport people.

Well here's the story. Ease One informed me about a mapping contest for Counter-Strike.
The rules were to make a map within 52 hours using a specific wad made just for the contest.
I'm not planning a fucking come back or anything, I was going to submit the map anonymously.
The problem was, I learned about the contest 10 or so hours into it, and the clock was
ticking.
Now, this sounded like a really fun challenge and I figured because of the time limit I'd be
pressed to make something cool and fun but it would make it so that there'd be clear confines
of how long I'd spend on it so it wouldn't be a huge investment of time. Also, I was very
enthusiastic about a little friendly competition between me and Ease. So I resigned myself
to do it.
I worked from 8pm on Friday until about 5am, then I woke up around 1pm, went out for an hour
with my friend and his gf, then worked from 2pm until, for all intensive purposes, I finished
the map at 9am, a full 2 hours before the deadline. Now, I ran into a fucking INFURIATING
problem. The map would compile perfectly...no problems whatsoever in the log, but the map
would ALWAYS TURN OUT FULLBRIGHT if I vis'd it. THE FUCKING PROBLEM WAS, THE RAD WASN'T
ABORTING WITH AN ERROR, so it took the FULL compile time to learn that things weren't fixed
after every fix attempt. In all my years of mapping, I had never had such an inexplicable
error before.
I worked for 4 additional hours trying to solve this problem to no avail, growing
increasingly angry. I sent the rmf to Ease and went to sleep, hoping that maybe he could
figure it out.
I wake up and get a msg from him that it compiled FINE for him on his first attempt. It had
nothing to do with the map, but the new Zoner's tools I had downloaded are fucking borked,
and I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. I redownloaded them and reinstalled them and still they don't work.
I missed the deadline because of this shit, and all that work is down the fucking drain.

In the 1950s, oil producers discovered about fifty barrels of oil for every barrel invested in drilling and pumping. Today, the figure is only about five for one. Sometime around 2005, that figure will become one for one. In other words, even if the price of oil reaches $500 a barrel, it wouldn't make energy sense to look for new oil in the United States after 2005 because it would consume more energy than it would recover.
