Frans over at 3D Gamers let me know that the demo for Starsiege: Tribes has been released. It's a somewhat reasonable download (25MB). Here's a direct link off of ZDNet.

    As far as the Unreal demo goes, I think it was just Epic\'s inexperience with producing a 3D game...making a lot of promises they intended to keep, but were unable to. I used to be on the MegaBoards at Epic, when we were told the 224 patch would be out within 3-5 days, and it turned out to be almost 4 months, if I recall. The smart developers promise nothing at all. id pretty much has made this an art (\"when it\'s done\", etc). I doubt we\'ll see Epic promising extra shit again anytime soon, if they make it, it\'ll be a nice bonus....
