EverQuest Hacked

Looks like a teenager was able to hack EverQuest... What he did was get in to the VP of development from Sony's computer and grab account information, which led him to be able to get superuser access on all kinds of EverQuest related stuff. Verant and Sony were actually not even aware of the hack or how long the kid had access until the kid decided to send a bunch of files to a Sony exec (Nobody knows why he did that). The kid had access to personal information of people who had accounts on EQ to boot. (400,000 subscribers)

Through that account, they gained access to the private accounts of Sony employees, a password-protected messaging board and "all other customer accounts."  [snip] the hacker copied a voluminous file containing the blueprint for the release of the game's next version, "EverQuest2," scheduled for release next year.
