Third Half-Life Mod Expo

Looks like Sierra is holding another Half-Life mod expo, like they have done for the past 2 years. This year's expo will be held September 27 in San Francisco. Mod makers are invited to email info about their mods along with screenshots or movies to modexpo@valvesoftware.com until September 5.

Guys, support this. ModCon is where Valve tries to give the spotlight to other mods that aren't already big. And they do it well.

This is really important.. CS has all the hype it ever needs, DOD has been around for a while and definitely has respect, but there are a lot of other mods to come around in the last 6 months that deserve to be seen.

Support the mod makers.

I'd be happy enough to see Day of Defeat given its due. Aside from being a little historical, it's very balanced.

I dunno; anything to snag Valve's spotlight away from Counter-Strike.

I'll be going again. Last year it was in a small bar, hopefully they will get more of a gaming place this year like they had the first year when it was at Club-i, which is now shut down.

Witout a doubt, Day of Defeat and Action Half-Life were my two mods that kept me glued to the computer this summer (was CS and TFC the last few) because they offered a great variety compared to the other ones from the past.

Seriously, more people should play Day of Defeat. Like CS, its really high quality and can rival many retail products for design and content.
