Unreal Engine Update
by Maarten Goldstein, Aug 23, 2001 2:02pm PDTMark Rein has updated the Unreal Engine News page with a brief inside peek at Unreal Championship, the Xbox Unreal Tournament followup in development at Digital Extremes. Mark talks about the features DE has put in the Unreal engine, and how some of those features have found their way into Epic's version of the engine that ships to licensees. There's a screenshot showing the particle effects that have been added to the engine. The update also mentions this article about the movie A.I. where the Unreal Tournament engine was used to create 3D versions of the set. Saw that on Voodoo Extreme.

PR 1.29F or PR 1.29H
hell, I've lost track right now. 1.29f was so freaking wonderful, don't know why they changed it.
Btw- ease_one do you still have that comparison shot that you made in GTK 1.1TA and the UnrealED for Unreal2?
He had already done his walkthrough and now he was walking onto his real bluescreen set,” said Muren adding that Spielberg “very quickly picked up on how to move the camera around based on all the ‘Unreal Tournament’ keyboard strokes… it’s obvious he played the game a lot. He just got right into it.”

Spielberg == ASS!
Looks like even ILM, THE top special effects company in the film industry knows Unreal is better than that shit Q3 engine. Everybody knows this.
wonder how long it will be before someone figures out how to "port" these x-box titles right back to PC ...
could mean a ton of new titles for us PC users w/ gf3 and p4/t-birds ...
