Homeworld 2 Not Dead

Despite rumors to the contrary, fan page Relic News is reporting that Homeworld 2 is still very much in development at Relic, and to prove it, they have posted the first piece of concept artwork to be released from the game (thanks Blue's News). According to Homeworld Universe, Sierra is currently re-negotiating with Relic their license for the Homeworld franchise, which may result in the game being published elsewhere.

Just got this from Sierra:
We are currently in negotiations with Relic regarding the Homeworld 2 contract. As of right now nothing has been decided and thus the status of the game is just as it was yesterday: in development

That stinks like a "maybe" to me :-(

I hope it makes it. Homeworld and Cataclysm were the only pieces of originality to appear on the RTS front since Total Annihilation.
