Early Evening Reading

Hey, lookit! My first ER post. Hope you like it!

- Good lord, cats are returning from the grave! - Here's info on a new search engine that could outsearch Google. - Potatoes: the next big weapon for terrorists? - Looks like full-length movies over the Internet (legally) isn't as far off as you'd think. - Can't find a job? Maybe you're just stupid. - In Norway, a penguin has been promoted to Honorable Regimental Sergeant Major. My question is what the heck was he promoted from? - I bet you could floss your teeth with this monitor. - Robots are competing for the world cup of robotic soccer, using nothing but pre-written AI.
You know, I'm a big fan of weird Japanese stuff, but this arcade game is just insane. If you're not too disturbed yet, here's a look at a different version of the same game.

  • I've got almost a thousand dollars burning a hole in my pocket bank account. I'm about 17 and occasionally I see some friends of mine from the neighborhood where I used to live. When we get together we try to do some stupid stuff. Probably the stupidest stuff we've done is attach a ski rope to the inside of a Chevy Blazer and have someone hold on to the other end of the rope... and do about 40 down this somewhat-used road. Euh, this was before Jackass btw, so let's not start that "OMG TV IS EVIL IT MAKES KIDS LIGHT EACH OTHER ON FIRE" debate.

I want to catch stuff like this on video, and possibly put it up on a website. My concerns are:

    Video Quality
    Sound Quality
    Basic features
Ability to hook up to my computer and import the video
ability to play back on a regular VCR

Now, that last thing I don't really need but it'd be nice if I could do that and still get the rest of the requirements for a decent price. I don't need to take any still shots so I won't smite down with mighty vengeance on a camera if it doesn't have that feature.

That's about it I guess... could someone point me to a video camera that fits these criteria, or a buyers guide of some sort?
