SoF Platinum Gold

Raven's Kenn Hoekstra updated his .plan file saying the Platinum edition of Soldier of Fortune has gone gold and is off to manufacturing. Platinum contains the original retail game with the Gold edition extras, 5 new multiplayer maps, Strategy Guide in PDF format and a preview trailer of SoF2. This is mostly meant for people who don't have the game yet. But I'm guessing if you still don't have SoF at this point you really don't want it.

If any of you think SOF is being milked just take a look at half life or mist, both of those have been uber milked, and the milk just keeps on coming. I hate mist, lost interest in HL after playing the demo but I did make it to the end of SOF.

Asus 7100s and 7700s used to bundle SoF, not sure about the new 8200s. The game was pretty good, not much replay value, the multiplayer never been too popular...

Hey, I love gold/platinum/GOTY editions of games, since they drop the price of the original copies at least $15. I can probably grab a copy of SoF for $9.99 now.

I enjoyed the heck out of SoF. I borrowed my roommate's copy and played through it, a good solid shooter. Not a whole lot of depth, but it makes pointing a gun and clicking fun.

I had it, but an (ex) friend "borrowed" it & never returned it. Then he moved to Texas. lol.

I still haven't bought the game. Played and loved the demo, but it's one of those things were I was really busy with work at the time and then other games came out. Someday I'll pick this up, but not at anything more than $15.
