Medal of Honor Preview

by Maarten Goldstein, Aug 14, 2001 8:24pm PDT

PC.IGN has posted a new hands-on preview of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, the WW2 game in development over at 2015 and EA. It's pretty lengthy touching on pretty much all aspects of the game; gameplay, graphics, the lack of blood, characters, AI, and sound. Nothing on the multiplayer part though. Here's a snip

The entire thing gives off a dusty, appreciable, and heroic air of war. You actually feel compelled to win and fight. A notion perhaps furthered along by the occasions when NPC allied compatriots (dozens even) will be streaming through the streets or beaches right alongside you taking bullets and laying out much deserved punishment upon the Nazi power. This is a war after all, so there will be times when a great many soldiers are fighting one another *cough* Normandy *cough* but in general, gameplay is mainly a "you vs. them" affair (don't expect Braveheart scale battles taking place in the background that you can just sneak on by).
If you don't feel like reading all the text, there are several new screenshots to look at.
