It's just Mozilla anyway. If you want to see what the new Netscape is going to be in a few months, get the latest Mozilla from mozilla.org

0.9.3 currently and it's a good browser. (Im in it now)

It's actually not that bad. If you don't feel like it though, just wait a few days (weeks?) for IE6 to come out.

Is this the upgrade that makes Netscape fun a remotely acceptable browser??

Why should I use Netscape, Opera, or Mozilla on a Windows system? Why should anyone? I held out longer than most, using Netscape 4.7x. But it kept crashing. I remember it crashing when I was on the Netscape homepage trying to download an upgrade. Now that I'm on IE, why go back? IE offers superior everything. Nostalgia is not a good reason to backtrack.

Does this version not crash like every other version they've ever released?

Save yourself pain and just use Mozilla. I'm using the recently released 0.9.3 and its quite good. Renders quickly, acts reliably and has not crashed on me yet. Now the behavior is a bit odd in comparison to NS (Which I liked the feel of) but I'm growing used to it. The only qualms I've seen so far: Sometimes when I alt-tab to it, its a bit sluggish. Also, it doesn't load all the mail in the mail client, so when I open a directory with 1800 messages, it has to load them all which NS didn't. Also, sometimes typing a shack reply, it does odd text editing things, where it wants to skip a couple spaces, but I can backspace and fix it. So I'm happy with it. On the upside, it has nifty themes, if it does crash it won't bring down the system and the design seems very logical when using the various utilities in it.

Does Netscape 6 still offer the exact same features as Netscape Communicator albiet at a slower speed and a higher crash ratio? More importantly, can it render complex tables without crashing your computer like all previous versions of Netscape?

I used to like this browser but ever since IE4, Microsoft has pulled ahead so much. Sucks for Netscape, they used to be really great.

Actually, the level of poo poo sucking increases with each new veriosn.

does it support dhtml yet?

I like Opera but some stuff just doesn't work (like my evilemail account) and it doesn't allow html mail. Otherwise, not too bad.

Mozilla is pretty good too, and works for just about everything. The only thing that I've noticed is that it doesn't have any features that set it off from IE. Basically, they both do the same thing right now, so why bother?
