Stomped has done some more digging (well one of their readers anyway) into what possibly could be new games announced at QuakeCon next week. Products like Quake 3 Gold for the PC and Collector's Doom for the PC don't seem to be exciting new products like something like "Quake 4" would be though. There's also a Quake BFG game. id did confirm that the games were real but no additional details were given. Here is that one annoucement again

EB has their collectives heads up their colons. Apparently they like to make up release dates and products as well as exclusive deals so they can get pre-orders which they make interest off of. For instance they told us they that if we pre-ordered the GBA from them we'd get it 2 days early. Found out later from my boss (runs a games company) that EB never had a deal with Nintendo. Which would explain why they didn't have any GBAs that day and whhy they seemed to have them 2 days later.

i hate that stupid circle check thing that is on the cursor when you go to EB. someone should kill klerck just for working there.

If its some remake or game-pack I'm not going to buy crap like that. I want something new, something with style and good single player, basicaly I want a game that uses an engine by id software designed by another company. Id just can't make good games it seems, at least in the last 5 years it seems that way.
