Return To Wolfenstein @ IGN
by Steve Gibson, Jul 07, 2001 8:24am PDTAn interview with Drew Markham this morning from Gray Matter Studios discusses how things are going on the Return To Wolfenstein project and gives out some pretty good details on what those guys are up to and bits about the game. Drew also drops a hint that they are working with a contract team for some 'special' multiplayer for the game:
This has been getting a lot of work lately, and we'll be ready to give some details before too long. Basically, we're doing things for multiplayer that will be uniquely "Wolfenstein" and tie into the elements and play mechanics found in the single player portion of the game. We're working closely with id and another group to make something special and different. We're still breaking out what features and modes will be in and out...so we're not ready to be specific yet.Hey maybe they are making a Counter-Strike clone! :)

Doesn't that sound like the unannounced 2nd project id Software talked about? The one that will be shown at QuakeCon? I'd not be surprised..
It'd be cool if major companies could make something together for once! :)
