the only reason intel is kicking around now are all the mindless morons who go into a future shop to buy a nice spiffy new compaq PC with a new intel P4 logo

i wish people wernt mindless fucking morons and went to normal computer stores to buy custom jobs and not bullshit like that

i love competition.

People dont realize that 1) Athlons are Good Cpus 2)Pentiums are also good cpu. The difference is performace for todays instructions. Amd is superior for todays instructions but many companies are starting to really program for future instructions p4 style. What does this mean for the everyday joe. Well the everyday joe does not buy a new computer ever 6 months or every year. So it is pretty obvious that they will go for intel because personally i have not seen any problems with intel except for the p3 1.13 gig recently but other than that the system is good to go. And for those people who upgrade often and lease once in 1and half years will go for amd cuz it is a smart move but as I said before many people out there just dont prefer i higher chance of realiability so they go for the usual intel. Personally i own a amd and intel systems and i find that there is more patching needed for the amd to get optimum performance ie tweaking.
