1.4Ghz Athlon MP Soon

For the fastest in Athlon SMP computing you have to wait for a little bit, as The Register is reporting that a 1.4Ghz version of the MP Athlon should be available by August for around $300. Currently only a 1.0Ghz and a 1.2Ghz version are available.

Is there any benefit in getting the Athlon MP for a single CPU system, I know it has some extra features but is the extra $100 worth it? Will older Athlons be phased out?

I'd rather get an nForce mobo than a dual CPU...

Hmm.. Doeth... heh I got the Tyan Thunder K7 Dual AMD motherboard, and it's ramp with problems... but what really makes me feel extremely stupid is that I already got Two 1.4 athlon chip's... which means, that they aren't the correct ones to use for my motherboard.. (although they still work)
