Day of Defeat Update
by Maarten Goldstein, Jun 29, 2001 4:00am PDTThe Day of Defeat site has been updated with a list of what's new in the upcoming 1.3 release of the Half-Life WW2 mod. Looks like there's a good amount of new content. They are also looking for server admins to host the 1.3 download so it should be out soon hopefully. Thanks Vertdang.

I downloaded DMC the other day (big download thanks to my shit 26.4kbps modem) and only a few servers were running it. I do however have a copy of DoD on cd, so I wouldn't have to worry about the download.
Well, actually I can, because I'm more excited about 2.0, but 1.3 will be a nice way to maintain my interest until then.
:-D
Now that's a lot better than Cliffe and Gooseman can claim; sometimes I fantasize about gathering up all the CS weapons and taking them to a quiet firing range to record their real sounds. All the CS reload sounds are often shared, even though they're in different files; listen to the reload sounds of the AUG, the MAC-10, and the UMP45, and you'll see what I mean.
Good part of immersion for me in any game is sound, so seeing more realism in that department=1337
My carpal tunnel syndrome hasn't flared up in a while. Looks like that may change.
