Soldier of Fortune 2 Interview
by Maarten Goldstein, Jun 28, 2001 6:30am PDTThe PC Zone guys have conducted an interview with Raven's John Zuk, talking about Soldier of Fortune 2. They ask about creating a SP-only game, what we can expect from the sequel when it comes to story and gameplay, if any features from SoF2 have found their way to other Raven games, if Raven will ever do a non-FPS game within the SoF world and more. Thanks Blues News. Here's a bit from what we can expect from Soldier of Fortune 2.
RAVEN: The first game was well received, both in terms of sales and reviews. So of course we are going to bring back all the elements that people liked in the first game. We are expanding the terrain system (the train level from the first game), making the weapons more realistic as well as the characters. We do have some surprises in store; the random mission generator for one. We want to try something different and add to the longevity of the game. Also Raven related is this Industy Insider interview with programmer Jake Simpson on Evil Avatar. It's more a profile interview instead of one with game specific questions. Kind of a know your developer thing :)

that got old, and the game tended to suck more the further you got. The weapons got weird, there wasn't really any sense to the game, etc.

Don't and it's iffy I'll even try the demo. =)
(yeah I know it's SP, but I like to support co-op whenever possible)
