Fortunatly I found a work around...sort of. I'm still waiting for the VIA patch and new SBLive Drivers that don't suck

i flashed to the latest kt7a bios, put on new 4 in 1's and win2k sp2 and havent had a problem since
*shrug*
Guess its just luck.
The SBLive isn't really at fault, since the 686B southbridge is known to have serious problems with transfering large files between two ata-100 hd's on different channels. We're talking serious as in PC hanging, loss / corruption of data etc.
There's a whole load of forums containing posts about problems with Cubase and the 686B southbridge, with several soundcards, not just the SBLive.

Currently i cannot read regular CD's from my DVD rom, only DVD titles will read properly. All CD's just ask me if i want to format the drive
