There comes a time in every game buyer's life where buying all the cool new games simply isn't an option. There may be 4-5 games out there that you want, but at $50 a pop, most of us have to boil it down to one or two and hope for the best. However, there's also an entire treasure trove of 100% free games available -- the only cost is the download time. While it seems as though a majority of the available freeware is free for a reason (it's crap), there are diamonds in the rough.
That's the point of this column. We're here to tell you about the best in freeware, where to get it, and why we think it's worth your time. We'll filter through the waste of bandwidth titles and find the addictive little puzzlers, action games, and others that are the perfect way to fill the void before that next paycheck rolls in. Let's get to it already!
*shrug* I guess they don't pay to well at Gamespy
