There is an interview with Randy Pitchford of Gearbox on Planet Half-Life, answering reader questions about the Blue Shift mission for Half-Life which was released recently. Although generally not very interesting, there is one question of a reader asking if we'll ever play an alien and Randy mentions this will be possible as a bonus mode in the upcoming PS2 version of Half-Life.

There is an interview with Randy Pitchford of Gearbox on Planet Half-Life, answering reader questions about the Blue Shift mission for Half-Life which was released recently. I'm playing Blue Shift right now, and I'm such a HL sp fan that I couldn't wait to get it. More of the HL universe is okay with me, regardless of how short it is. The high-definition pack makes a difference, but not enough so it's a "big deal." I also haven't played OpFor, so I'll tackle that one next. Blue Shift is fun, and a little more "dark" than the original HL, but it doesn't capture that monumental HL impact, nor does it reinitiate it. I guess HL is truly an original experience.
