  • I just played DMC for the first time ... i dont like it.. the original quake was *so* good that this just doesnt live up to it. the maps are exactly the same, the weapons are the same..... but it doesnt have quake's *feel*. and imo the weapon models are horrible.. esp the grenade and lightning gun.. aiiiieeeeeee

not uninstalling it tho.. will play it again sometime.. cuz it doesnt "suck"

if it had been an original mod i'm sure i wudve liked it.. but every inch reminds me of the quake and makes me wanna exit and load QuakeWorld. </rant>

  • My biggest gripe is the same as my biggest gripe in Q1: the SSG. I just DL'ed this and my view has always been that the SSG should do AT LEAST 75 damage (100-120 damage is really ideal though). Then again I'm a DOOM2 player and I wish it did 170 damage :). But I understand that this is a Q1 remake soooo, I'm not gonna complain too much since it accomplishes what it sets out to do. Maybe I should make DMC:ULTRA or something and port over stuff from our D2F mod to make a decent Q1vsDOOM2 mod ;). Might be cool, who thinks that might be cool? Might be a good workout while I'm working on DemonWars (whatever we do that for). I'll shut up now :).
