If this was some thing where they contacted Steve and offered an exclusive and then just gave it to everyone, this blows. It pisses me off when PR departments think that they have the right to say whatever the hell they want just to get more publicity (which an exclusive would). Screwing Steve by giving it to GSI is just low, though.

GameSpy just returned from a trip to Valve, so I suspect they were given a hands on demonstration (two more Valve related articles to come). I'm sure this exclusive thing was a mixup. :\

You can't trust anyone in Marketing, ever. I don't even know how people sleep at night knowing they are going to be in marketing. Hell marketing is worse than legal, it's possible to have an honest lawyer (I think), but the whole point of marketing is to put the best possible spin on the truth.
