Black & White Patch Delay

You know, I stopped warezing games awhile back. I figured I am making ok money now and I will support the programmers. Well, I am getting sick of this $50 for a game bit and then wait to play it until we patch it. The last 2 games I got are Tribes 2 and B+W.

Problems with Tribes 2:
1. Runs like as in some maps even at 640x480 16 bit with all settings at lowest. WTF! I get 80+ FPS with a radeon in Q3 1024x768 everything cranked but T2 Becomes a god damned slide show!! They still have yet to fix that one.

Problems with B+W:
1. Saving Crashes the game constantly
2. Tons of missing features and Stupid ass Creature AI
3. Takes 10 Minutes to load a fucking save game(wtf the save game is only like 5-20 megs!)
4. Villagers are so stupid they starve to death if I dont feed them every 1 minute.

Oh well, If only every game could be as stable as Serious Sam.

They take the time to do the patch right, and hopefully make this the only one necessary, and people complain.

They make incremental beta patches that break some stuff, people would complain.

I uninstalled last time they delayed the patch. Now what the fuck do I do?

This is really bad for the Win2k people that can't play the game at all.

Presumably to fix bugs and make sure it works....why the fuck couldn't that have happened with the game??

Look at Alice... a game "American" McGee made and its patchless.... they did it right before they released it. I could play that game for an eternity because they made it bug free and it never crashes on me.

There are people who CAN'T FINISH the game because of some of the bugs (like the 5th lvl curse bug). I'm sorry but i think they have EVERY RIGHT to complain. You pay 50 dollars for something and you can't finish it? It's one thing to complain about a minor bug that you can work around but something of that magnitude is ridiculous and should be fixed ASAP. Much like id has done in the past with any sort of server crashing exploit they release a patch usually within 24-48 hours. At a bare minimum they should at least release a patch quickly that allows people to PLAY the damn thing w/out waiting 2 months to finish a level.

PC game makers wonder why PC sales are dropping. It's stuff like this & other games have done in the past that leave a bad taste in consumers mouths. I have recently caught myself looking at a new game on the shelf and actaully saying "no i'm not going to buy it until a couple of patches". Isn't that just wrong?

Patch delays happen.. expect them. The mistake these developers make is putting a date on it in the first place

Ok, now this is silly. I stopped playing B&W weeks ago in the hopes that the patch would resolve the problems I was facing. I won't play again until this patch is released and I may not play again at all at this rate.

I can't wait for this game to be finnished
