Man when will people not care about a stupid benchmark program like 3Dmark? Who care's if your drivers make that faster. What matters is real programs you actually use. Stability, Compatability & Speed on an applicatoin the user actualy controls not some static benchmark based on purely speed.

  using VIA 4-in-1 btw... 12.00 was more stable, with hang flaws... and 6.50 were robust. : excessus

Is it just me, or does it seem that these leaked Detonators have some sort of time limit? I'm starting to wonder if the driver has been causing the lockup in OpenGL.

These knocked my "performance number" in the Operation Flashpoint demo from 113 to 100.
Apparently not only do these increase opengl performace -- they lower d3d performance as well.

If they are anything like the ones @ the-ctrl-alt-del.com then they blow, because they ditched TNT1 support (some of us still have these in our spare computers....) - i thought nvidia liked backwards compatibility??

Why does the System Properties always say that you have more RAM than what is installed (for instance, 266.6 megs when you have two 128 meg sticks installed)?

With 6.50:
3D Mark 2001: 2038 3D Marks
Quake3 1024x768x32: 87FPS

With 12.2:
3D Mark 2001: 10234 3D Marks.
Quake3 1024x768x32: 504FPS

These look good, get em.

Everyone do some 3dmark scores and let us know whats the deal.. I did my own, in 3dmark 99 (2001 just sucks on my pc, and it takes like 10 mins to do a full benchmark, where it might take 3 on 99), ran it 3 times and got some `averages'

in 6.50 with my P3-450 TNT2Ultra (v770), 384 megs ram i got 4453 3dMarks and 6908 CPUMarks.
In 12.2 i got 4384 3dMarks and 6995 CpuMarks.
So in one driver i get better cpu preformence, and in the other (the original)i get better 3d preformence...

anyways u guys are probably all like wtf is he using 3dmark 99 anyways, and how does that stack up with the 3dmark 2001 scores..

As someone once said, probably Einstine "It's all relative"
