If you're feeling like an adventure, the latest test version of the Shack forums by Sander have gotten pretty stable. They will be offering standard UBB style interfaces but also a comment style interface as shown here (or for flat mode guys here) and a couple other tricks. Give it a whirl and marvel at being able to use html for fonts etc.
