Remember, folks, if you have an SMP system, you'll need one of the 4 following OSes: NT4 SP6, Win2K SP1, any *nix OS, or WinXP Pro. Running 98SE, ME, or WinXP personal is a waste of time since the 9x OSes cannot recognize more than 1 CPU because of the way their 16 bit DOS kernel works.
As for XP, I think what MS does with the personal version to not allow more than 1 CPU being seen is some kind of special coding for that. Either way, you'll need a Pro OS rather than a home one.

When this gets out and if it works i will try this..
It's a bit sad that AMD insists on putting 100 watt lightbulbs in computers.. 450 watt.. tsk tsk

remember this is REAL SMP. since every CPU has its own dedicated bus to the memory.
so CPUs dont have to share bus between each other. this should improve Quake3 scores tremendously.
overall remember this is WORKSTATION. not a gaming rig. it will be expensive and it will be damn fast. Mobo will be about 400-500 bucks plus every server Palomino will probably be between 400-500 bucks minimum. but it will be SWEEEET. still this comp will be under 1500 with Geforce3...
good stuff.
