Hey neeto! We've been catching glimpses of the C&C Renegade FPS title that Westwood has been working on but now we get a full video. The German magazine Gamestar published this video (along with another Flashpoint video). You can grab the video in either MPEG or RealVideo formats from this page. Havent been able to finish the download myself now that I'm slummin it with no SDSL here at home but someone who manages to get it tell us if it's good or if it sucks the poo poo from the poo poo tree?

I thought it looked alright; they need to work on those weapon hand animations though; looks too much like the Unreal weapon bobbing. However, that sniper rifle is nice, and that shotgun is how the Q2 shotgun should've been: powerful and semiautomatic.

I definitely think its looks kind of neat.. It has an arcadish feeling look to it, and it definitely gives the impression of being one of those soldiers running around in the RTS version of C&C.. The models are even animated to resemble the ancient 2d sprites which is surprisingly cool.. Potentially cool, for sure.

First impression: I thought I was watching a TF2 movie for the first ~10 seconds, then he turned around, and I thought it was that map straight out of UT.

Graphics look good, but that's to be expected of any new game. Will it be any fun? Only a demo can answer that. And then the amount of people playing online will determine the life of the game.

AKA:
HL/CS, Q1, 2, 3, Tribes1, 2, UT vs. Sin, Kingpin, Alice, Diekatana, Elite Force, etc.

It's worth the download though if you've got a fast connect.

and yes, I know I spelled dk wrong

Is this the video posted earlier that looked like it was running at 5-10fps and had crappy AI?

Also, why can't the guys drop regular weapons when they die and not these floating holo guns? Doesn't seem realistic, although maybe they're not shooting for that?
