Creative Announces New Cards

Long it was rumored Creative wouldn't be making any videocards anymore. Guess that wasn't true as their GeForce3 card has been announced. They are also gonna make GeForce2 MX and Pro cards. Guru3D has an interview with Creative's Eoin Leyden about their lineup.

Someone explain to me why there are several versions of the GF2MX available, that are all faster than the original? If you want a faster card, buy the GTS, or if you want top performance, buy an Ultra. Why make it more difficult for the buyers?

Adding 64mb memory to an MX card is just as smart as selling Volkswagens with 400 bhp twin-turbo engines...

After having countless problems with my SBLive on my KT133A motherboard, I will never buy a Creative product again.

The lame Win2k support also pisses me off.

I'd like to thank Creative for ditching the "Annihilator" series name. Though it was fresh when the GeForce first came out, it got old over time.

Now if only they could make a no-nonsense, no-bloatware sound card to go with these.
