NOLF2 And AvP2 Details
by Maarten Goldstein, May 02, 2001 6:38pm PDTGamespot has scored some details on the No One Lives Forever sequel as well as Aliens vs Predator 2, since it was announced today (story) that Sierra would be publishing these games with Fox Interactive. NOLF2 will come with a single player and multiplayer mode (supporting possibly up to 32 players), with about 60 levels in a variety of locations in the single player mode. Other games using the Cate Archer character are being planned as well. As for AvP2, there will be 21 levels, 7 for each character. AvP2 will also include a multiplayer mode featuring 10 character types with a FFA and team-based DM mode.

...the environments will be more varied than in the previous game. Whereas the feel of the original game was claustrophobic and tight, the sequel will open things up a little. There will be some larger areas - such as spacious hangar bays - and even some well-lit areas. The designers want to break up the monotony of the dark, confined hallways of the first game, so you should expect to see a greater variety of levels and environments. Also, in contrast to Aliens Versus Predator's console-style save restrictions, the sequel will allow players save anywhere within a level.
Well, there goes my feeling of anticipation for this game. Fuck it.

Some may argue that it is an unoriginal year, as all those games I am excited about are sequels. I say they are just more of a good thing, and that you could extend that argument to all FPS games being a clone of the first FPS game. Fun is fun, and 2001 has fun written all over it.
