Not according to all the Q3A fanboys out there....
I'm gonna have to call bullshit on this one; they really mean that they compile their code into modules inside the .u file. The .umod file is a simplified mod installation format that can be easily executed by the user so they install the mod correctly the first time (sorta like InstallShield, but without the costly license).
