Cheaper AMD Processors
by Maarten Goldstein, Apr 30, 2001 10:05am PDTThe Inquirer is reporting that AMD has confirmed price cuts today. Soon you should be able to pick up a 1.33Ghz Athlon for around $183. That's like, damn cheap. Other prices can be found on Chip.de. Saw that on Stomped.

Too bad he insisted on needing video editing capabilities. I had put an ATI Radeon All-in-wonder vid card in instead of the GF2 Ultra I would have preferred.

Has AMD given up "one-upping" Intel as far as chip speed goes?
I know, I know, AMD chips at lesser speeds are faster in certain games but the general public does not........they only think faster clock speed better chip......and I really want AMD to suceed.

of course I paid $230 .. but hey .. I have it right?
there was a time when i wouldnt touch an amd with a 10foot pole but now reccomend it over intel
