New Renegade Site

Westwood/EA have given their Command and Conquer: Renegade site a new design along with more info about this 1st/3rd person game set in the C&C universe. There are no new screenshots unfortunately (however I did add the missing ones to our archive). Thanks Ant. You can find some new screenshots on PC Gameplay where they've been pimping out the game all week.

    I think this one has an outside chance of rising above the usual Westwood crap. Graphically, it's looking kind of budget-title. But if they get the netcode right, and if the weapons are interesting, and if the outdoor setting isn't filled with pop-up terrain, and if the thing is balanced properly for teamplay, and if they rise above the whole hokey us v. NOD storyline, and if they manage to make it twice as fun as their last three or four games, then, ok, maybe. :)

    Meantime, the old early third-person 90s arcade GI JOE game is finally emulated on MAME, and it's cooler than this. :)
