There's an interview with the NOLFWorld webmaster on Gamespy, in which he mentions that Fox will not be releasing the source code for No One Lives Forever. This pretty much makes mod making impossible. Nice support for the game by Fox. update: According to Stomped, Fox has not made a decision on the release of the game code yet.

It would DEFINATELY keep the life of the game going srong a year from now+ if they released the source code. I can already imagine a badass CS mod for the Lithtech engine in expansive outdoor environments...forests, jungles....

i dont mean to be a bitch, but maarten, not EVERYONE has to support mod making. maybe they know ppl wont make good stuff... i dont remeber good stuff from kingpin etc (they did release the source didnt they?)

Fox does not have their finger on the pulse of the gaming community. they are doing a disservice to a very good game, I'm sure that some people would have made some nice mods for NOLF if given the chance. GG fox.

Maarten, I'm sure it's not monolith's fault. they're hands are being tied by the suits at fox, so you shouldn't blame it as lack of supports on their behalf.
