Companies Sued over Fans

The stupidity of some people in the world amazes me.

"I was too stupid to store my firearms safely, and my kid got into them and shot himself! Let's sue Colt for making guns so dangerous!"

"I was too stupid to know that coffee is typically served hot, and spilled it on myself! Let's sue McDonald's for failing to warn me!"

"I was too stupid to know that chain-smoking for most of my life is fucking dangerous, and now I am dying of lung cancer! Let's sue the tobacco companies for making the cigarettes!"

If people would stop and just look at how stupid they make themselves look, maybe retarded shit like this would happen less. But I suppose the voice of common sense isn't as loud and strong as that of the mighty dollar.

Though it seems kinda lame.... If Sunon owns the IP on the fan technology and haven't licensed it anyone, yet Creative and nVidia are buying from another source, you bet they have a case, lame or not.

this looks kinda different to me than all those other so called patent infringements...
this is a maker of fans (i.e. they actually do/make something)
that has got a court to agree with them, not the patent office but A COURT OF LAW... they filed the suit against the rival maker in 1998 according to the article..
