Stomped has gotten a hold of 3 screenshots of Global Operations from Barking Dog. The game is powered by LithTech licensed from Monolith and the developers have been quoted as saying this game will be "100 times better" than Counter-Strike. Barking Dog had previously done some contract work on Counter-Strike Beta5.

Is it just me or do extremely offset weapons look really ghey? I thought you were supposed to look down the barrel of a gun. A slight offset is OK and has a more natural look. The gun offset in these screenshots make it look like the player is holding the gun sideways.

I hope the game is great but please fix the weapon models!!

(tribes' weapon offset is even worse than this game. yuck)

things i think that would be cool in this game:

motion sensitive mines

optional silencers (like in NOLF with the mp5, the optional silencer)

LOTS OF MODELS AND SKINS LOTS not 3 or 4 different ones.

possible a single play campaign???? could we???? some of us cant play online, mmkay? 56k with 160+ ping is not good enough, i dont care WHAT john carmack says

different types of ammo for different weapons (NOLF had a good idea with the dum-dum rounds and the phosphorus rounds)

some real world location maps. CS had a good thing going with italy and dust, etc, however it would be cool to beable to play in the world trade center, or wrigley field

some GOOD jungle/forest theme maps... poor yurik's forest map for CS was awesome, i want more

if they want to be 100x better, i hope they make some non-blurry textures for once .. they aren't really any better than the ones used in CS currently.
