Undying Website & Info

Electronic Arts has opened up the official Undying website, showing off quite a bit of stuff including screenshots and video. (Although the screens are low-res, doh). There is information on several of the levels, characters, weapons, and story behind the upcoming FPS game. In addition Nextgame.it has a bunch more screens of the game. Thanks VE. Honestly the game has next to zero appeal to me personally, I dont know but the game just doesnt jump out at me as anything very special. Plus the environments just dont float my boat. Maybe (heh) I'm getting just old crusty and jaded at the ripe age of 25...

Steve is crusty, this game has always looked cool. Unreal engine + Clive Barker themes = can't really go wrong. Unless they do make something go wrong. I hope not though.

btw, the undying site kicks ass. best use of flash i've seen in a LONG time. Glad sites are starting to keep flash usage more subtle, rather than having the whole page be a blinking, moving, animated piece of cluttered shit.

I finally read "the Hellbound Heart" a couple of weeks ago...damn is that book badass. If Clive Barker wasn't one of my favorite authors of all-time, I doubt I'd have anywhere as much faith in this game as I have, even though I imagine that his first foray into gaming isn't going to be anywhere as fleshed out as the other mediums he has alot more experience in. From reading the previews and interviews, however, it sounds like he's seriously considering working on games after Undying. Maybe one day he'll design a horror game that evokes or surpasses the kind of dread and terror that was in SS2, but one can only dream :D
