Return of The Abrash

Now he's working on the Xbox though, so he's back to games. The paper was originally published in the 2000 Game Developer's Conference proceedings.

after several weeks of sweat I ended up making ONE filled polygon that you could zoom in and out of.
Yeah, it ran at 1 fps on my 486. That's when I decided not to pursue 3d programming.
I guess you just need to know some of the math first. LOL.

Abrash and Carmack knew each other a litle and carmack had wanted him to come to id for a while apparently, after doom 2 was done he obviously came over, think his name is actually in the ultimate doom credits. Abrash left id for family reasons, he mainly didn't like the location (texas). When he went back to work for MS he was working on voice recognition software or at least that was what was said when he left id but I never heard anything more about this.
Now he's an engineer/uber guru for the x-box, very cool job much better then working on voice recognition software <yawn>.
