The oh so famous Lord British (Richard Garriot) who is responsible for so many of those Ultima games is interviewed at GameSpy. No word on how to make the latest Ultima game run over 10fps on a GHz machine though.

  • I'm sorry, but the Lord British thing seems a bit played out. Here we have a powerful figure ruling over Sosaria (or whatever it is called now), and everything is jacked up. Lord British can slap us down with an omnipotent magical hand, yet he expects us to tackle jobs even he won't undertake?

The whole thing should have been organized and lead by Lord British, with him appearing and guiding/helping the player at critical moments in the story. Kind of how John Mullins and Hawk played off each other in SOF.

Having Lord Brit sit and chill while the player discovers new 'virtues' is thin and disappointing. Let's hope that's why Rich Garriot left.

    Thanks!
