Lord British Interview
by Steve Gibson, Jan 07, 2001 7:19am PSTThe oh so famous Lord British (Richard Garriot) who is responsible for so many of those Ultima games is interviewed at GameSpy. No word on how to make the latest Ultima game run over 10fps on a GHz machine though.
New video game releases of 5/21-5/27
Indie Jeff's Weekly Pick: Offspring Fling
Chatty: E3 2012, Diablo III
FileShack: SOL: Exodus, Defenders of the Last Colony
Daily Filter: Madden NFL 13, NHL 13
Comments
The whole thing should have been organized and lead by Lord British, with him appearing and guiding/helping the player at critical moments in the story. Kind of how John Mullins and Hawk played off each other in SOF.
Having Lord Brit sit and chill while the player discovers new 'virtues' is thin and disappointing. Let's hope that's why Rich Garriot left.
Thanks!

heh a friend of mine has a similar problem, he cant play any games with creepy crawly things in it, when you think about it, it limits you a lot. No half life, no SS2 etc

There were spiders in the dark and i REALLY don´t like spiders.
So, Lord British, make games without spiders please.

"Richard Garriott: Myst -- the only non-Ultima game I finished."
Well THAT explains a lot
