Todd Hollenshead from over at id updated his .plan file with the news that several Best Buy and CompUSA stores have Quake3: Team Arena on sale for $17.99, good if it wasn't under your Christmas tree.

    I fixed the mouse problem by installing MSFT's 3.2 intellimouse drivers and disabling mouse acceleration (no option in 98se default driver), I think the boomslang peep's are the ones looking for an answer.

    I fixed the CD-KEY error by changing the attr to read only on the key file, one of the id guys posted on Q3W forums this is a bug, game starts, reads correct key, fuxors key, writes back to disk.

    I fixed the fps probs by going to 800x600 & disabling options.

    I fixed the stuttery play problem by using ps2rate (200hz), set com_maxfps to 100, r_displayrefresh to 100.

    I fixed the bot problem by playing on-line with other 9 suxors who bought TA.

    I fixed the James model problem by formatting my hard drive, reinstalling everything clean with no mods and reperforming all the above steps.

    I fixed my emotional baggage problems by throwing the computer out into the street after all above steps, punching the local road runner lineman in the nose and sitting under the bright orange object in the sky while whistling softly to myself.
