Dekard from GameAdmins sent out a mail saying that a new beta DLL for Counter-Strike by Valve messes up some of the skins and makes it look like people are cheating, which they aren't. Server admins should go back to the previous DLL.

Apparently, the statment "is" true, there was a 'unofficial' beta patch that wasn't announced that fixed this issue, but the sites still pointing to hlds_beta_12_1.zip are the ones that have issues with the skin problems. If you have hlds_beta_12_1a.zip it's fixed. The hlds_beta_12_1a.zip wasn't released on any public ftp sites or via email to HL site as far as I am aware. Sorry for any confusion admins.

Hey, can you use custom player models in CS beta 1? it seems to think im cheating and all i wanted to do was replace the arctic joe model with the arab model.
