QPong Beta

New Quake3 mod to get your hands on. Team Reaction released the first beta of QPong Arena. The download is a mere 6mb and includes "5 balls, 4 maps, 1 announcer, and unlimited carnage". Just wtf is Q3Pong all about?

Between two and four teams face off in a giant arena, reminiscient of a Pinball table. Each team has a goal. For each team playing, a gigantic (bigger than your player) steel ball is dropped into the middle. Each team tries to roll the ball into the other team's goal. However, the ball is extremely massive. You can only move it using your weapons (super shotgun or railgun recommended). You can also push the ball, but it will only roll slowly. Should you happen to lie in the path of a quickly-moving ball, you can kiss your ass goodbye. Yes that's right, balls will crush other players who are not quick enough to get out of the way. In fact, one of the main ways to kill people in QPong is by blasting a ball into them (resulting in instant gibbage).
