4What did you expect, a gone gold announcement? Of course not, there haven't been enough screenshots just yet. Gamesurf has lots of "vehicle action" here and Evil Avatar also has some new screenshots from the beta. The beta version is currently on hold actually, while the team is fixing several issues that have come up so far.

Right now, TRIBES 2 is heading straight in the same direction as TRIBES 1. While it offers up several new gameplay mods, most of them just are not very much fun for more than a few minutes. In the end, only the vanilla Capture the Flag is really enjoyable. Along those same lines, out of 20 some Capture the Flag maps, only three or four are really anything you would want to play.
Hmmmm... Maybe I won't be buying this game.
