  • GameSpy: Who started your company and in what year?

Pup: I started Pup, Inc. because I was bored out of my gourd, wanted to tinker with ASP, and had some money to actually afford a domain name and host.

GameSpy: How did you decide on your company name?

Pup: The name Pup came from my last job. Four of us sat in a cubicle area, and each already had a dog name that they had picked up somewhere in life. Red Dog, Old Dog, and Big Dog. They felt I needed one of my own, and since I was quite a bit younger than any of them, they chose Pup. At first, it was an irritation, but I eventually came to like it. I was called Pup more than my real name. In fact, there were people that I worked with for 6 months before they found out my real first name. As for Pup, Inc., "Pup.com" was taken, even though the site had absolutely nothing to do with the name. I conjured up several variations like "Pup Co.", "Pup Online", and "Pup Is 1337", but "Pup, Inc." had a nice, official, and somewhat silly sound to it. One day, there's going to be a ju-ju-bee revolution!!! when I'm big and famous, I'm going to petition to get "Pup.com" for myself just like Madonna.

GameSpy: How did you decide on the logo and are you still using the original? If it is not the original logo, what prompted you to change it?

Pup: I don't really have a logo. Just some colored text. GIVE ME THE FUCKING KEYS YOU FUCKING COCKSUKER MOTHERFUCKER AAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHAAAAAAA!!!!
